The exhibition “Russia, looking to the future” takes place from November 5 to 22 in the Central Exhibition Hall “Manezh”. Participation in it is taken by various Russian enterprises, demonstrating for the most part civil engineering. Among other guests and participants at the event is the holding “Schwabe”, which is part of the state corporation “Rostekh”. At the exhibition he presented several medical developments, among which there are an interactive reanimation chamber “Integro”, an artificial ventricle of the heart, the first in Russia fibrooptic system for phototherapy of newborns and other necessary novelties.
Artificial ventricle of the heart “Inventa” is a small pump the size of a little finger, which is implanted into the human body and helps the sick heart to pump blood, giving it the ability to recover and reducing the load on it. Experts explain that now the queue for heart transplantation significantly exceeds the number of suitable donor hearts, therefore, “Inventa” can become in this case a good alternative.
The intervertebral disk represented by the company is also good. The material from which it is made, does not break, in comparison with ceramic and metal disks weighs a little, and one more implant is designed for 25 years of service. In addition, the material developed by Schwabe can be used to make “patches” for the skull and replace any other parts of the skeleton. While intervertebral discs are adorned at the exhibition, other implants from the same material are tested in clinics in Novosibirsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
